Employee Engagement - the extent to which employees are passionate about
their work, emotionally committed to their company and to their coworkers.

Employee Engagement Survey Case Study

An international electronics manufacturer was experiencing turnover in excess of 35% when it was decided to contact NBRI. The NBRI employee engagement survey was deployed in seven languages to the more than 10,000 employees worldwide. Within only eight weeks, from start to finish, the Client had their results.

It was clear from the NBRI Root Cause Analysis of the employee survey data that the organization's management style was at the heart of the problem. Employees were treated as expendable, rather than valuable assets, and the trickle-down effects could be felt all the way from the president's office to three continents around the globe.

NBRI identified the root cause of the turnover, and was instrumental in directing the Client to another partner who would provide the appropriate training. One year later, at the second assessment, turnover had dropped to less than 10%, and the Client had saved millions of dollars in associated costs. In addition, morale and productivity reached all-time highs, as evidenced by subsequent NBRI employee surveys.

How does employee engagement impact an organization? Employee engagement impacts every organization in different ways. The level of engagement may affect key factors such as sales, customer satisfaction, and employee turnover. An organization must identify and then develop the strengths and talents of their workforce to be competitive. Engaged employees create satisfied customers and higher profits for your organization.

Certain concepts, such as employee loyalty, do not fully address employee engagement. Employee loyalty tends to focus more narrowly on intended future behavior. This measurement is a good indicator of the likelihood of whether or not employees will stay, but nothing else. NBRI's approach to engagement includes employee loyalty, but adds the critical dimension of what employees think about the organization's goals and values - and whether they will support them. This is the cognitive dimension of engagement.

NBRI understands the psychological aspects and areas concerned with employee engagement. Employee Engagement Surveys are created with all of these factors in mind. NBRI has the expertise to create, analyze, and evaluate information from our employee surveys to assist your organization in creating engaged and satisfied employees.
