Satisfaction - The fulfillment of a desire, need, or want.
Employee Satisfaction Survey Case Study
One of the largest Food Services providers in the United States contacted
NBRI to assess employee satisfaction, which was suspected to be the cause of
the high employee absenteeism. All other, more tangible factors had been
ruled out.
An NBRI Employee Satisfaction Survey was deployed in 48 States and three
languages, resulting in an 85% response rate, and a 99% Confidence
Level. Management could be certain that the results of the employee survey truly
represented the thinking of the employee population.
Low job satisfaction was evident, and the NBRI Root Cause Analysis indicated
that employees were disconnected from the organization's short and long term
goals, vision, and mission. NBRI recommended numerous interventions to
communicate management's strategic plans to the lowest level employee, and
reinforce their practice in each employee's daily activities. Subsequent
employee survey results showed significant increases on related survey
questions, which impacted Total Company Employee Satisfaction dramatically. Employee
Satisfaction Scores changed from being a Weakness (below the 50th percentile
of the NBRI Normative Database) to being a Strength (above the 75th percentile
of the NBRI Normative Database) in only six months. More importantly, employee
absenteeism was reduced by more than 60%.

Employee satisfaction surveys provide the information needed to improve levels of
productivity, job satisfaction, and loyalty. Organizations can identify the root
causes of job issues and create solutions for improvements with an accurate
perspective of employee views. These root causes can be identified using NBRI's
employee satisfaction survey.
Discover what motivates people, what drives loyalty, and what genuinely
makes and keeps your employees happy. Satisfaction levels will increase when
employees know that their issues are being addressed. There is a direct link
between employee satisfaction and financial results.
Employee satisfaction surveys from NBRI include 60 questions covering 20
topics and each employee survey may be
customized to meet your organization's specific needs.
